British aristocrat Isabelle Thomas jumps to her death from LA hotel room

Fatal fall of wife of Oscar-nominated Hollywood film producer was likely a suicide, say police

Isabelle Thomas, the British aristocrat wife of a Hollywood producer who worked on Killers of the Flower Moon, has died after jumping from a hotel balcony in Los Angeles.
Ms Thomas, 39, who once advised David Cameron’s government on tech start-ups, was found dead on Monday at the Hotel Angeleno.
She was the wife of Bradley Thomas, a film producer who has been nominated for an Oscar for Martin Scorsese’s latest epic.
Police ruled her death was likely a suicide. Ms Thomas reportedly jumped from a balcony on an upper floor of the hotel. She did not leave a note.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office cited multiple traumatic injuries, which it said were consistent with a serious fall.
Mr and Ms Thomas married in 2018 and had two young children.
Ms Thomas, who attended Oxford University, advised to Lord Cameron on his Tech City start-up initiative, launched in 2010.
She was the daughter of Sir Henry Lawrence, 7th Baronet of Lucknow, and his ex-wife Penelope, and had performed as a DJ and partied with Amy Winehouse.
Jameela Jamil, a British actress and friend of the couple, shared a tribute to Ms Thomas on Instagram.
“I lost a friend very suddenly this week,” she said. “Don’t wait ’til later. Don’t presume you can just grow old together. Don’t presume the world is fair or makes sense. Don’t take anyone or anything you love for granted for a minute.
“My heart is completely and utterly broken and I don’t think I will ever recover.”
Killers of the Flower Moon is an American western that has been nominated for 10 Oscars. The awards ceremony will take place next month.
Mr Thomas, 58, previously worked on the 1990s films Dumb and Dumber and There’s Something About Mary.
